Repair

Repairing Spelljammer ships requires proficiency in the appropriate shipwright tool and access to the correct type of raw material. With these prerequisites, it takes one person 5 weeks to repair 1 hull point of damage. Up to 4 other people may help even if they do not have the necessary proficiency, reducing the time by 1 week for each person. Additional repair crews can repair more hull points at the same time, 1 hull point per crew up to 5 as long as one of those has the correct proficiency.

If the incorrect tools and or proficiency are being used to repair the ship a roll with disadvantage must be made at the end of the repair. The DC for this roll is 10. On a success, the repair is good enough. On a failure, the ship regains that hull point but all attacks against the ship have their critical hit chance increased by 1 until the repair is redone.

These repairs can be bought in most ports at a cost of 500 GP per hull point. More than one 5 person crew can be bought to repair more hull points per week, if the port has enough repair crews.

The repair time can be lowered to 1 HP per crew per day for 2000 GP if time is of great value.
