Magic Use in Space

Most D&D 5e magic spells will operate normally in Wildspace, with a few minor exceptions. Any spell that summons creatures from the current location will be mostly unsuccessful in Wildspace, except for the very rare occurrence where such a creature happens to be within the range dictated by the spell.

Any spell that relies on gravity or air will only work properly inside of gravity wells and air envelopes. While fire needs air to burn, magical fire does not. Fire spells are not affected by the lack of air, however they will not set things ablaze unless there is air to sustain the subsequent fire.

Clerics In Space

Cleric magic works normally in their home sphere. It is when they travel to another sphere where their deity is not recognized that their magic suffers. In such a case, the cleric can not regain spells above the 2nd level. This restriction applies in the Phlogiston as well. This restriction does not affect their Spelljamming ability, they still count as their level even though they don’t have access to higher level spells.
